Lake Audio Piano Black Hi-Fi Speakers
Overview:
Our flagship floorstanding loudspeakers. With an 8" bass driver, close-coupled to an acoustically designed plinth, twin 5" Woven Kevlar mid range drivers and a 28mm soft dome tweeter all wrapped up in a dual-chamber, double ported rear vented bass reflex enclosure and finished in ultra high gloss black piano lacquer.

They are best suited in medium to large rooms where they have room to breath.

Applications: Use them where sound quality and room size are important considerations. Use either to compliment a high quality stereo system or as the front loudspeakers for home theatre applications.

Features: Being our flagship models these impressive hand made floor standing loudspeakers certainly make their presence felt! For extra deep bass a revolutionalry downward firing 8 inch bass driver is mounted in the cabinet floor which is closely coupled to acoustically engineered, vented plinths to evenly radiate low frequencies into the listening environment. This is coupled with two Woven Kevlar, 5" midrange drivers and a 1" soft dome tweeter. The advanced dual bass reflex design allows these loudspeakers to reproduce breathtakingly deep bass coupled with surprisingly transparent vocals and an dynamic overall response.

They are designed to be biwired, where the best sound quality and performance will be realized. By request we can provide a modified version of these loudspeakers with all crossover components removed, specifically for use in active crossover based systems.

Cabinet Finish: Hand assembled cabinets are first polished and a quality bird eye maple veneer is applied. They are then lacquered, hand polished, lacquered again and polished again. In all 5 coats of clear lacquer are applied to give a truly beautiful, ultra high gloss finish which must be seen (as phtographs really cannot do them justice). They are provided with removable wooden grills covered with acoustically transparent black cloth and rest on vented piano black glossy plinths.

Fitted as standard are soft rubber feelt which work well without damaging hard floor surfaces. Given their weight there is little need for floor spikes, however highly polished copper feet are available separately.

Amplifier Matching: They are ideally suited to both valve and solid state high quality equipment in order to realise their true potential. With 6 ohm loading and 88dB sensitivity they are however reasonably amplifier friendly so we recommend a minimum amplifier power output of 30-40 watts per channel.
