Content owned by AspectTV website. No copying allowed.

Thanks to many advances is technology and programming services, home entertainment systems are changing these days. While it was once adequate to have a tv, a stereo system, a couple of nice couches, and maybe a gaming console in a central area and call it a home cinema or entertainment system, there are simply more specialized features available now. The new standard in home entertainment revolves around complete systems that utilize the very best in both programming options and equipment. While this means that an upgrade may be in order for you, the plus side is that the “home cinema” experience has never been better.

The first, and most essential element of a strong home entertainment system is the television provider you choose to trust. If you do not yet have a Satellite Dish network, you may want to consider upgrading to one, as satellite companies now offer expansive channel packages and special programming that few other companies can rival. In the past, of course, this didn’t matter as much – you could get by with basic channels, and if you wanted to watch a movie you’d have to put in a DVD. However, with both television and film being made more and more available through the Internet and premium programming channels, you can now access just about anything that you may want to watch through your television.

The next step in building a superior home entertainment system, once you have upgraded your television provider, is to make sure that you have a high quality television. These days, flat screen TVs are the true standard in viewing quality, and specifically there is nothing better on the market (in most people’s opinions) than an LED LCD tv. Contrary to popular understanding, an “LED” refers to a specific lighting system that can be used in an LCD television, rather than a different type of screen altogether. An LED television offers the very best in viewing quality, and can make your home entertainment system stand out.

While these are just two of the steps toward making a home theater room or entertainment system, they are probably the most important two, around which all others will revolve. If you have the budget, and would truly like to build a uniquely impressive system, you will of course also want to invest in the very best products when it comes to sound, gaming, and even seating. Just imagine having a dark room full of comfy couches with crisp surround sound, and a large, clear flat screen television hooked up to an Xbox and a satellite television package. Home entertainment can’t get a whole lot better than that!

Content owned by AspectTV website. No copying allowed.

It’s that time of year again when we all bust a gut to get some great pressies for friends and families. Thanks to the power of the internet it can now be a little bit more stress free for everyone. That’s if you do it early. Otherwise leave it late and you could end up in a right soggy pickle!

With buying things like surround sound and home cinemas it takes a bit more research and getting what you want to your door can be easier by ordering online. So we hope our website can be useful this festive season and all your christmas shopping goes smoothly in time for Santa to place it under the tree!

Remember to order from good reputable companies in order to avoid any serious issues meaning your purchases don’t arrive until after the big day. A few minutes to research a business is better then weeks of headaches, so make the effort otherwise you may regret it. Hope all goes swimmingly for you and the festivities are a joy. Jingle bells away!

Merry Christmas to everybody.

Content owned by AspectTV website. No copying allowed.

Often you can be unsure about something when buying electronics like these. But have no fear help is at hand.

Content owned by AspectTV website. No copying allowed.

We aim to give as much info as possible on the website to help you out. However at times it can still be incredibly tricky. Often it is the case that people have music systems/TVs/games consoles/DVD players/blu-ray. Given the nature of electronics, different systems virtually always have different amounts/types of inputs and you can get an array of cables to boot. In trying to help you out, in short, at times it is a minefield! So we can’t always help.

The best way to get help is always from those who already have the same product as you (or what you are looking at), because they have the most knowledge. So here are the steps we recommend you take to get the best advice.

Contact the manufacturer. If you are looking at a Panasonic surround sound system then visit their website, contact them with a short email specifying the system you have looked at and what you want to know EG “will the Panasonic SC-PT480EB-K be compatible with the Xbox360″. Tell them something like you have looked at the spec but are not definite whether it will be compatible and would just like a yes or no answer from them.

Use Yahoo Answers. If you have a Yahoo account it is worth logging in to ask the vast amount of people there to see if anybody knows. But be wary of some answers as anyone can answer so they could be poor/uneducated replies. Still it’s free and should only take a couple of minutes to login and post so worth it.

Ask on your favourite electronics forum. If you are a member of sites such as AVForums it is worth asking, often you get answers from some highly experienced people.

If your taking a look on the high-street as well as online for what to buy then it is worth asking the people who work their to see if they can help, they should be able to give you some guidance.

Leave a comment on our website. Find the product page and fire away with your question, hopefully either ourselves or other visitors can help out.

We hope those ideas lead you in the right direction for the support you require. These sorts of products cost a lot of money so it is worth researching to save yourself headaches and ensure you are able to get what you want.

Content owned by AspectTV website. No copying allowed.

It is important to have your manual in order to fix any issues or work out how to use features. There are several ways to try and track them down online! Here is how.

Content owned by AspectTV website. No copying allowed.

This is a common problem. But they are normally available online so don’t worry. There are a couple of ways to locate your lost manual.

Google it! Sounds obvious, but often just searching for the model name and the word manual in speech marks can often bring up a place to download the manual. EG google.co.uk “BDV-E870 manual”

You can also visit the manufacturers website direct. Nowadays they tend to have downloads available of manuals for all current and recent products. Visit the support section or product listing which sometimes has a link to it.

If those two fail, it is worth dropping an email to the manufacturer and see if they can help out.

Via those methods you should be able to track down the instruction guide you want, but remember if your system is quite old you may struggle to find what you are after. If you do struggle get the ladder out and dig around the attic!

No copying allowed.

This is a review of a TV signal booster, a product to help with get more Freeview channels. Read the full review now to see if it is good at doing what it is designed to.

Content owned by AspectTV website. No copying allowed.

In an upstairs room I have a low-cost HDTV, one of the Technika telelvisions from Tesco. Overall it is a good value for money bit of kit. However the built-in Freeview has been a nightmare, hardly finding any channels and some it does find are scrambled.

However it’s not a big problem, it can be easily solved with an aerial booster.

The Product
I decided to go with the ‘Philex TV Signal Booster’, which cost a shade under £10 from Amazon. A decent price and the reviews of the Philex range are overall decent so I thought it was worth a pop.

Improvement
9/10. Absolutely brilliant! Not only can it now find all the Freeview channels, the ones that were scrambled now work perfectly fine. Some channels it has newly found are scrambled (notably G.O.L.D which is a big shame) so I can’t give it the full 10 out of 10, but still close.

Setup
10/10. Super easy, simply plug in the aerials (you need 2, so if you don’t have a separate one spare you will need to buy one), plug in the mains adapter and retune the TV – job done. Hard to go wrong.

Value for money
Have to give it 9/10 again. Did exactly what it is supposed to do and at just under a tenner can’t go far wrong.

So if you need to boost your signal this is highly recommended.
