The Panasonic SC-PT480EB-K features 5 speakers is a 5.1ch surround sound system. It is compatible with ARC, which means that just one cable is needed to connect the Home Theatre System to the television. It has an enhanced base sound, and a nifty feature of the system is that it can play content from an iPod using the dock or USB connection, and the iPod’s menu can be accessed on the screen of the TV.

The Panasonic SC-PT480 is a good piece of kit which makes a good option if you have a large DVD collection. It is feature packed, and has a nice touch with iPod / iPhone compatibility. Being at this price level is a big bonus point in its favour.

I currently have a Panasonic DMRBS750EBK Blu Ray recorder with built in freesat. Will this system hook up to my 750EBK?
If not is there a system that you can recommend – preferably wireless.
Hi Albert. This sort of situation can be a bit tricky. This particular system only has ’1x HDMI out’ which will be used to hook up the system to your TV, so you won’t be able to connect the blu-ray player directly. You could still connect the blu-ray player directly to the TV using a ‘HDMI splitter’ (if you don’t have more than 1x HDMI input on your TV) but then you wouldn’t get the sound through the home cinema system, so it’s not a very good solution. Look at other systems, and make sure they have a couple of HDMIs.
