There is a real shortage of ‘wireless surround sound systems’ at the moment, if you want to have a wireless setup your best option is to buy a normal system in the Samsung ‘HT’ range and then also buy a SWA4000 conversion kit.
There also aren’t many optical input speaker systems, the focus seems to be mainly on standard surround sound speaker kits, rather then those with choices of inputs etc.
The reason for these changes I’m not fully aware of. It may be down to the recession causing manufacturers to massively cut back expenditure on development of new systems.
